On the First Anniversary…

Today is the first anniversary of the launch of a platform that changed the future of content analysis. News moves fast in the tech space and in a short time, the New Edition of the Professional Document Analyzer (PDA) with Artificial Intelligence and Natural Language Processing technologies had an impact far beyond automating proposal management to help scale businesses in different verticals. The Scion Analytics executive leadership team is thankful to the clients across verticals, trusted partners, and the customer’s creativity in finding new uses of the platform. In 2014, Tom Lipscomb had an idea for a solution, the Document Analyzer, a powerful parsing engine born in the government contracting space. In 2020, the singular idea for a solution has grown into Scion Analytics with a talented team committed to transforming businesses, of all sizes up to enterprise-level, with new technologies and capabilities. In the release of the New Edition of the Professional Document Analyzer, your team can leverage the following greater capabilities for greater opportunities.
  • Easy to Use– The New Edition PDA is now easier to use. A software your team will actually use. Scion Analytics values user feedback. Based on user input, the New Edition has ease of use, flexibility, and customization designed to directly translate your feedback to your business needs.
  • Powerful Content Mapping e.g., RAM– The only company in the world that produces content mapping in a Responsibility Assignment Matrix (RAM). An amazing example of innovation and ingenuity in the platform.
  • Enhanced QC Readability– Communicate effectively what matters most to your team. The new QC Readability has the support of weighted dictionaries and can quickly identify areas of the document that require rewrites or improved textual content.
  • New Dynamic Tasks– Empowers you with the ability to define your tasks/applications by using customized libraries and templates. Customization in a few clicks using simple drop-down selections without programming or coding.
  • “The Real” RACI Matrix- Part of leading-edge RAM technology of data mapping. Our users have taken RACI and re-purposed it for Bid/No Bid, proposal reviews, and other solutions. Sophisticated capability without programming or macros required.
  • Incredible Time Savings– A manual RACI matrix takes between 8-10 hours to complete. Using the PDA, generating a RACI matrix takes less than three minutes.
  • Intuitive UI– A consistent UI that is easier to use reducing the learning curve for users and enhancing productivity.

Scion Analytics is Proud to Support the “Made In America” Executive Order

Scion Analytics is Proud to Support the “Made In America” Executive Order

On January 25, 2021, President Joe Biden issued an executive order ensuring the future is made in America by all of America’s workers. Scion Analytics is proud to be an American based tech solution, an innovative idea brought to reality by American workers transforming and scaling American businesses.  Per the executive order: (Executive Order on Ensuring the Future Is Made in All of America by All of America’s Workers | The White House) “The United States Government should, whenever possible, procure goods, products, materials, and services from sources that will help American businesses compete in strategic industries and help America’s workers thrive. Additionally, to promote an accountable and transparent procurement policy, each agency should vest waiver issuance authority in senior agency leadership, where appropriate and consistent with applicable law”.  US government businesses are a large sector of the US economy especially when it comes to government contracting. Good business practices and patriotic duty align in this 2021 executive order that mandates US government businesses to support the economic development of strategic American industries such as IT. The purpose of this mandate is to help American businesses compete and help American workers thrive in a challenging global economy. When it comes to choosing a tech solution that delivers on the American promise in efficiency and capability, businesses should always choose an American platform. The  complications and liability of choosing a foreign-based tech solution v an American tech solution are real. For more information, visit (https://scionanalytics.com/resources/buyers-guide) Per the executive order: (Executive Order on Ensuring the Future Is Made in All of America by All of America’s Workers | The White House) “Promoting Enforcement of the Buy American Act of 1933. (a) Within 180 days of the date of this order, the Federal Acquisition Regulatory Council (FAR Council) shall consider proposing for notice and public comment amendments to the applicable provisions in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), title 48, Code of Federal Regulations, consistent with applicable law”.  US government contracting business is regulated by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) in the complex process of federal procurement. When the executive order relies on FAR provisions to enforce the “Made in America Laws”, it is logical that a US government business would want to use a tech solution fluent in FAR codes. An American tech solution such as the Professional Document Analyzer (PDA) has capabilities with built-in FAR codes that ensure compliance in the RFP process. For a government business to win more business means more opportunity to contribute to the American economy and prosper in the process. As Americans, we should do our part to support the “Made in America” act especially with American tech solutions that are tailor-made for federal business. To learn more how the PDA capabilities fit American businesses, click here (https://scionanalytics.com/platform/features/) Per the executive order: (Executive Order on Ensuring the Future Is Made in All of America by All of America’s Workers | The White House) “ Report on Information Technology That Is a Commercial Item. The FAR Council shall promptly review existing constraints on the extension of the requirements in Made in America Laws to information technology that is a commercial item and shall develop recommendations for lifting these constraints to further promote the policy set forth in section 1 of this order, as appropriate and consistent with applicable law”.  The “Made in America” act touches on the intricacy and significance of international politics of tech. For the executive order to specifically reference IT as a strategic industry America needs to develop is to solidify the necessity of buying American based tech. Therefore, if your business is in the market for a tech solution it should know the security implications and international laws governing and restricting the use of foreign-based tech solutions on American soil. Foreign-based tech solutions are vulnerable to data leaks, restrictions on secure data, and constraints on navigating the processes of US government businesses. President Biden made his stance on American products and American businesses clear with incentives and provisions to support the growth of the American economy. In the global economy challenged by the pandemic, IT is more than just business it is politics. To learn more, visit (https://bit.ly/2MxO3n8)
