On January 25, 2021, President Joe Biden issued an executive order ensuring the future is made in America by all of America’s workers. Scion Analytics is proud to be an American based tech solution, an innovative idea brought to reality by American workers transforming and scaling American businesses.  Per the executive order: (Executive Order on Ensuring the Future Is Made in All of America by All of America’s Workers | The White House) “The United States Government should, whenever possible, procure goods, products, materials, and services from sources that will help American businesses compete in strategic industries and help America’s workers thrive. Additionally, to promote an accountable and transparent procurement policy, each agency should vest waiver issuance authority in senior agency leadership, where appropriate and consistent with applicable law”.  US government businesses are a large sector of the US economy especially when it comes to government contracting. Good business practices and patriotic duty align in this 2021 executive order that mandates US government businesses to support the economic development of strategic American industries such as IT. The purpose of this mandate is to help American businesses compete and help American workers thrive in a challenging global economy. When the executive order relies on FAR provisions to enforce the “Made in America Laws”, it is logical that a US government business would want to use a tech solution fluent in FAR codes. For the executive order to specifically reference IT as a strategic industry America needs to develop is to solidify the necessity of buying American based tech.
