Scion Analytics is Proud to Support the “Made In America” Executive Order

On January 25, 2021, President Joe Biden issued an executive order ensuring the future is made in America by all of America’s workers. Scion Analytics is proud to be an American based tech solution, an innovative idea brought to reality by American workers transforming and scaling American businesses.  Per the executive order: (Executive Order on Ensuring the Future Is Made in All of America by All of America’s Workers | The White House) “The United States Government should, whenever possible, procure goods, products, materials, and services from sources that will help American businesses compete in strategic industries and help America’s workers thrive. Additionally, to promote an accountable and transparent procurement policy, each agency should vest waiver issuance authority in senior agency leadership, where appropriate and consistent with applicable law”.  US government businesses are a large sector of the US economy especially when it comes to government contracting. Good business practices and patriotic duty align in this 2021 executive order that mandates US government businesses to support the economic development of strategic American industries such as IT. The purpose of this mandate is to help American businesses compete and help American workers thrive in a challenging global economy. When it comes to choosing a tech solution that delivers on the American promise in efficiency and capability, businesses should always choose an American platform. The  complications and liability of choosing a foreign-based tech solution v an American tech solution are real. When the executive order relies on FAR provisions to enforce the “Made in America Laws”, it is logical that a US government business would want to use a tech solution fluent in FAR codes. An American tech solution such as the Professional Document Analyzer (PDA) has capabilities with built-in FAR codes that ensure compliance in the RFP process. For a government business to win more business means more opportunity to contribute to the American economy and prosper in the process. As Americans, we should do our part to support the “Made in America” act especially with American tech solutions that are tailor-made for federal business. For the executive order to specifically reference IT as a strategic industry America needs to develop is to solidify the necessity of buying American based tech. Therefore, if your business is in the market for a tech solution it should know the security implications and international laws governing and restricting the use of foreign-based tech solutions on American soil. Foreign-based tech solutions are vulnerable to data leaks, restrictions on secure data, and constraints on navigating the processes of US government businesses. President Biden made his stance on American products and American businesses clear with incentives and provisions to support the growth of the American economy. In the global economy challenged by the pandemic, IT is more than just business it is politics. To learn more, visit (https://bit.ly/2MxO3n8)
